What is the best major in El Salvador?

In El Salvador there are many majors, but the most common are the follows: doctorate, professorships, nursing, architecture, and engineering; of course there are more, but these are the most popular in our country.

All these majors are good to study and become a professional, but unfortunately our country is very poor and   there isn't a lot of work to exercise any of the above professions.

If you have lucky you can find work and some of these majors you can make money.

I think that you can make money if you are a Doctor, architect or engineer but these major are the most difficult to find work in our country.

For me to be a teacher is the best major in our country and around the world because a teacher is a person who provides education for students.

The role of teacher is often formal and ongoing, carried out at a school or other place of formal education. In many countries, a person who wishes to become a teacher must first obtain specified professional qualifications or credentials from a university or college. These professional qualifications may include the study of pedagogy, the science of teaching. Teachers, like other professionals, may have to continue their education after they qualify, a process known as continuing professional development. Teachers may use a lesson plan to facilitate student learning, providing a course of study which is called the curriculum.

A teacher's role may vary among cultures. Teachers may provide instruction in literacy and numeracy, craftsmanship or vocational training,the arts, religion, civics, community roles, or life skills.

A teacher who facilitates education for an individual may also be described as a personal tutor, or, largely historically, a governess.

In some countries, formal education can take place through home schooling. Informal learning may be assisted by a teacher occupying a transient or ongoing role, such as a family member, or by anyone with knowledge or skills in the wider community setting.

Given all the above I am sure that the best major is to be a teacher.

Which is the country that is best prepared to attend emergencies caused by natural disaster?

There are many countries that are prepared to attend emergencies caused by natural disasters for example: China, Chile, Japan, Canada and others, but the best prepared to attend emergencies caused by natural disaster is Nicaragua.

At least 500,000 Nicaraguans were trained this year to avoid disaster and act in emergency situations and over a million will benefit from the knowledge of its neighbors.

Nicaragua with 6 million in habitants, it is considered a high risk country and record natural tragedies include earthquakes, tsunamis, and landslides that have tens of thousands dead and affected over the past decades.

I research and I realized that Nicaraguans said:  “We are better prepared for a disaster because it´s not a great shield, but because people understand more about this need, more people are aware of the risks of disasters and what to do”

Nicaragua is a country as high risk of earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruption, hurricanes, heavy rains, floods and forest fires.

Is for that Nicaragua is the only country with early warning systems 24 hours a day to each of its natural hazards.

Nicaraguans never will be fully prepared for an earthquake but they can be exercised. Nicaragua increasingly speak less of locating centers hostel critical, now they talk about houses to relocate people at risk, you can survive a disaster.

Nicaragua fear repeat disaster like the earthquake in 1972 in Managua, which left over 10,000 dead. The 1992 tsunami at least 118 dead and 63 missing, or the sliding of the Casitas volcano in 1998 by hurricane Mitch which resulted in 762 deaths and 2,228 missing.

The first seismic network was set up after the last earthquake in Managua, the first early warning system was established after the tsunami and SINAPRED was founded after hurricane Mitch.

According to the Global Climate Risk, 160 people died on overage each year in Nicaragua since 1990 because of weather events, in the last year the figure was 36.

Is for all this information that I think that Nicaragua is the country that is best prepared to attend emergencies caused by natural disasters.

.What a family should do if they face a natural disaster and they lose everything

This problem happens very often in our country and around the world, unfortunately many people die from natural disasters or they lose clothes, food, furniture, crops, their animals, their houses, they lose everything.

My recommendations for a family that lose everything from a natural disaster is pray a lot. They should ask God for strength to move on and start again and of course God will help them.

Another recommendation is find somewhere safe to stay safe and they must protect children and the elderly.

We know that there are different kinds of natural disasters for example:  hurricanes, earthquake, tsunami, flood, tornadoes, snowstorm and others, but this are the most common.

Whatever the natural disasters we must always keep a kit in our homes, and we must keep calm and don´t despair, because everything will be worse than it is already.

The most important thing is pray and give thanks God for being alive after all.

My last vacation

My vacation started on Monday, but the vacation of the university, because in my work started on Wednesday.

These day I spent all the time watching movies because I love to watch movies; in the morning I woke up at 11 am, that was wonderful for me, and I went to the bed very late.

My mother started her vacation on Wednesday too, we cooked that day, She prepared potatoes and pacaya covered with eggs and I helped her, that food was so delicious, my  mother cooks very very well.

That same day my cousins visited us and we had a good day, we watched movies, listened to music and played lottery that was really nice because we bet money and I was the winner.

On Friday I went to Via Crucis and I walked a lot of, the sun was very hot, after  I was tired and I had a headache and all my body hurt me, so I decided to sleep .

On morning Saturday my mother and I prepared Torrejas; we didn´t tamales because we can´t do it jajaja… but my  mother bought them to a neighbor

The rest of Saturday and all day Sunday I spent all time watching movies and ate delicious  torrejas and tamaIes. I ate many torrejas and tamales.

On Monday I did homework, but I didn´t finish because I had a lot of an I start to go to the university again on Tuesday

My last vacation was a little  boring because I didn’t go to the beach, I spent all the time in home with my family. The good news is that I start to work until may because I´m on vacation of the year.

I hope the next vacation be more interesting.

This period I have been learning a lot of topics, one of them are:

Tag Question: This topic was for me a little difficult because was a new topic, but  then I understood that tag question is an extra information in a sentence, for example:
He is handsome, is he?

I understood that Shall  has the same meaning  Will.
We use it to indicate a future action.

Imperative + tag question

In the tag question with imperative we use for invitations and orders
For invitation we use won´t. Example: Take a seat, won´t you?
For orders we use can, can´t, will, would. Example: Close the door, would you?


I have been learning, too:
Past perfect: we use past perfect when we want to tell what happens sometimes in the past.
This topic is a little easy because we had been learning from basic English.

Other important topic is

Modals:
We studied: May, Must, Be able to, Might
We study each of the ways in which we can use.

Causatives:
We studied:

Have: is for responsability. Example: My mother had me attend to the university.

Make: is an obligation Example: My teacher made me do the homework.

Get: to convince. Example: My mother gets me to study more.

Let: is for permition. Example: Carlos let me drive the car.

I have learned about: Health Matters and cultures of other countries.
These topic were very important, too, because now I know many many things about these.

I hope to learn more and more about English language and be a nice teacher in the future.
